About Me

Hello! My name is Caleb Barker. I’m a game designer, singer, and lover of basketball. I was born and raised in Plano and have lived in the Dallas area all my life. I’ve always loved the aspect of level and world design in video games. Being able to create the world that the player explores, giving them unique experience like no other is the ultimate satisfaction for me. Outside of game design, I usually play a lot of basketball with my friends, have begun to dabble in cooking, and enjoy watching and reading Anime/Manga.

Project Description

“What Lies Beneath” is a short horror game inspired by titles like the original “Resident Evil” and “Alone in the Dark.” The player traverses through a home finding clues and slowly unlocking different sections of the house in order to uncover the mystery of what’s happening in the game.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

It is very important to explore your options, find out what part of ATEC you are most interested in, and when you do find what you’re passionate about, make sure to always be doing something outside of class to keep your skills fresh and to just make things to show off your skills in your area of specialty.

What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?

Hanging out with friends, and some of the classes I took at ATEC will be unforgettable to me.
