About Me

Hello there! I’m Huda, a graphic designer, illustrator, and small business owner (I own an Etsy shop called Hudhud Creations). I’ve been in Dallas my entire life, so it’s no surprise that I love traveling whenever I get the chance. I love working with other designers and studying other artists’ work, because I think there is so much to learn from other talented artists, no matter the field. Beyond graphic design, I hope to also find a career in User Experience (UX) design. When I’m not illustrating, designing, or working on my Etsy shop, I’m either reading, watching Netflix, or spending time with friends!

Project Description

A Gift to my Mother is a cookbook that was once a parting gift to my mother before she made her long journey from India to the US from her departed friend and cousin, filled to its very last page with handwritten recipes. Now, I will be re-designing its pages into typed pages with illustrations, transforming the original cookbook with its thin, fragile pages, into something that is newer and more long-lasting, once again a gift to my mother.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

Always search for internships or volunteer work – the extra experience will help you grow!
